Thank you for your interest in Cumberland County's children.

Cumberland County Department of Social Services' children enter into the child welfare system due to no fault of their own as a result of child maltreatment. CCDSS' children enter into the child welfare system from various socio-economic status, racial/ethnicity groups, religious background; however with perseverance, independence, talent and creativity. Our children's age range from birth to the 18 years. We have several children that are ready to enter into a loving, nurturing, long-lasting relationship with a "Forever Family" that is willing and able to meet the well-being needs of the children.

The decision to add a child to your family -- whether by birth or adoption -- is certainly life-changing and the responsibilities are out of this world! These responsibilities mean a new life for you and the child. We at Cumberland County Department of Social Services want to find just the right family to meet the particular needs of each of our children who are available for adoption.

A family and family life are important to all of us and especially for the children in the child welfare system!!!!!
